Miki Fera-DeMaggio’s came to KUA after 6 years at Cardigan Mountain School. Prior to this, she and Gus DeMaggio spent two years coaching young international athletes in Europe. They put two athletes on the Scottish and English National ski teams, as well as three others on the Romanian team. Miki graduated from TU (Transylvania University) with a degree in Physical Education, and was on the Romanian National Ski Team for 10 years. She participated in three Olympics, three World Championships, and three University Games. She ended her skiing career as a GS World Pro Champion and second overall when she retired from the Women’s World Ski Tour in ‘98. In addition to skiing, she loves to windsurf, rock climb, mountain bike, hike, sail, and paraglide.

Brit Hastings grew up skiing locally at the Dartmouth Skiway in Lyme, NH where she participated in the Ford Sayre junior racing program. At Hanover High School, she trained and raced competitively through the Ford Sayre Academy program. Brit went on to race at the Division I level for Bates College. She was named to the UCSCA All-Academic Team in 2008 and 2009 for her performance in the classroom and on the carnival circuit. She graduated Cum Laude in May 2011 with a BA in French and a minor in Women and Gender Studies. After graduating, Brit was asked to return to her home hill as an assistant coach for Ford Sayre Academy. She worked side-by-side with longtime coach Korry Vargo, managing junior athletes at USSA and FIS-level competitions throughout New England. Hastings loved the experience of helping young people achieve their goals and so she thrilled to be a part of the KUA community and her first season with the ski team.
