On Wednesday night, Kimball Union Academy faced Philips Academy in Andover Mass. Sean Dynan had a strong night in goal with several point-blank saves under pressure that added to the Wildcat efforts tremendously. The Wildcats came out strong but fell to an early position trailing PA through the first period. With only a handful of penalties, the game was well matched and saw scoring attempts going both ways. The Wildcats however, came back and scored a power-play goal to bring the score to a 1-1 tie. Bobby Young scored on the power-play with a deflection off of a shot from Jordan Harris that was assisted by Sean Thomson. While PA would come back and score a second goal, Jordan Harris would toss another solid shot on net that was again deflected, but this time by Kyle Penney. Finally, following a breakaway goal by PA to take the lead in the third, the Wildcats found another burst of energy. They controlled the puck and pace of play through the rest of the third, enough so to net another deflection goal. This time, Roope Hirvonen tipped in a good shot from Chris Konin and was assisted by Sean Thomson. The game then ended as a tie in OT 3-3. This tie takes the Wildcats to a 25-3-2 record. Their next game is on Friday against New Hampton School.
