The KUA boys’ varsity hockey team improved to 8-0 on the season by winning a hard-fought 4-1 win against a tough and energized Tilton squad. Junior goalie Sean Dynan stood tall in the KUA net and kept the opponent off the board until the second period when Tilton jumped out to a 1-0 lead. Dynan made some big saves in the second to keep the deficit at one long enough to allow junior Alex Heinritz to score his first of three goals shortly after Tilton took the lead. The teams entered the third period tied 1-1 but the line of Heinritz (3 goals, 1 assist), junior Thomas Samuelsen (4 assists), and junior Nik Armstrong (1 goal, 2 assists) took control. Heinritz fired two pucks past the Tilton goalie to complete the natural hat-trick and Armstrong finished the scoring on a nice setup from Samuelsen. KUA is now off until next Friday when it faces off in the highly competitive Flood Marr tournament near Boston.
