KUA makes big improvements

With KUA's #1 goalie, Julia Fontaine out for their re-match against NMH, KUA was not sure what kind of improvements they would show against a team that beat them handedly earlier in the season.  Senior Rose Abendroth, however, stepped up to the crease. Although, KUA would miss her from the defensive line-up, they were thrilled to have an experienced netminder between the pipes.  The school bus ride to Massachussets provided ample time to mentally prepare for the game, and when the puck dropped, the cats were ready.  Multiple chances at both ends of the ice provided an exciting game for spectators.  KUA looked sharp.  A tough bounce granted NMH a short breakaway, and she capitalized on the opportunity.  Minutes later, a puck rung both posts and found its' way over the goal line to make it 2-0 in favor of the Hoggers.  Although, the next two periods provided many opportunities for KUA, luck was not on their side.  Final score was 4-0 against a team that had beat them 6-1 earlier in the season.  Just two games left in the season, and KUA is on the hunt for another W.
