Great win by KUA!

The Kimball Union Football started the 2008 season with a 54-22 victory over Dexter.  Travis Jones began the scoring by returning the opening kickoff 80 yards for a touchdown.  Kevin Vieira scored on touchdown runs of 2, 10, 1 and 18 yeards leading the Wildcats to a 34-0 halftime lead.  In the second half, Akeem Labitue returned a kickoff 75 yards for a touchdown and Juan Breton ended the third quarter with a 5 yard touchdown run.  Travis Jones returned a second kickoff for a 85 yard touchdown  to conclude the KUA scoring.  Kevin Gangelhoff successfully converted 6-8 PAT conversions.  Defensive ends Kasim Edebali, Jimmy Vailas, and Nick Kenyon applied consistent pressure on the Dexter quarterback.  The Wildcats will travel to the Pomfret School next Saturday.
