Hit Parade Leads KUA Over New Hampton

Catcher Avy Arias hit for the cycle, including a solo home run in the second inning, and Stella Prieto walked it off by run rule with a three-run home run in the bottom of the fifth as the Wildcats beat New Hampton 13-1 on Wednesday in Meriden. Arias triple in the first inning and then added a single in the fourth and a double in the fifth to complement her home run. Prieto, Anna Baker, Kennedy FitzSimons, and Olivia Parker all had multiple hits for KUA. Gabi Young added a double and two RBIs. Pitcher Bailey Cassin was lights out in the circle, striking out 12 while allowing just two hits in five innings. Next up, the Wildcats host NMH on Friday at 5:00.
