In a hard-fought game on Wednesday in Meriden, the Wildcats were tied 1-1 with Deerfield in the third period but two late goals by the visitors, followed by an empty-netter, handed KUA the loss. Josh Phillips had the lone KUA goal on a powerplay in the second period, with assists going to Lucas Hannay and Conal Mulkerrin. Goalie Cam Ingram stopped 24 shots.
