KUA travels to Cardigan Mountain School

What a beautiful Wednesday it was for our KUA Cross Country athletes as they lined up for another exciting race. The course opened with a demanding uphill stretch right from the start and along the way, they encountered other climbs that tested their endurance and grit. They all rose to the challenge and raced with energy and determination.
The girls’ team had an impressive showing. Ella led the way, placing 8th overall, with Caroline and Claire close behind in 11th and 12th place. The three ran together for much of the race, supporting one another and finishing strong. Week by week, their progress has been notable, it is wonderful to watch them push themselves and one another to new levels.
The boys’ race was just as exciting. In a field of 68 runners, Thomas finished 7th overall, followed by Jasper in 15th and Spencer in 35th. Thomas, Spencer, Peter, and Cyrus all closed with great finishing sprints, adding to the excitement of the day. One of the highlights of the meet was seeing so many of our runners dig deep and sprint the final 100–200 meters. Their efforts paid off and the boys placed 3rd as a team!
The coaches couldn’t be prouder of the determination, teamwork, and heart our athletes showed on such a challenging course. Well done, Wildcats!
