Winter Sport Student-Athletes Honored

Kimball Union Academy recently recognized 30 student-athletes who were honored by the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) and Lakes Region League (LRL) for their performances on the court, ice, and snow this past winter.

The Wildcats enjoyed successful seasons across several programs, led by a girls’ varsity basketball team that advanced to the NEPSAC finals for a second-straight year. Both boys’ varsity basketball and boys’ varsity hockey also advanced in their respective NEPSAC tournaments, while girls’ varsity hockey and the Alpine, Nordic, and Freeski teams had their share of success as well.

“This winter’s athletics recognition is no surprise. When preparation meets passion, results tend to follow,” George Akerstrom Chair of Athletics Becca Main said. “Our student-athletes competed with grit and pride, and the number of honorees reflects that collective effort. A great deal of credit goes to our coaches, who continue to set the tone for success and elevate the standard across every program.”

NEPSAC and LRL awards are voted on by coaches and athletic directors of member schools and are issued following the completion of each season. KUA’s 2025-2026 winter athletics award winners include:
