Warren Joseph Reardon
Warren Joseph Reardon, Jr., 89, a resident of Sun City Center, FL, since 1998, passed away peacefully, on September 21, 2015, from cancer. Warren was born November 24, 1925, in Little Falls, NY, to Warren J. Reardon, Sr. and Esther D. Reardon. Warren grew up in Dolgeville, NY, where he was involved in the Boy Scouts and was proud to become an Eagle Scout. He graduated from Kimball Union Academy, Meriden, NH, and spent his early career working for footwear companies in Europe and the US, before joining the Daniel Green Company, where he spent the rest of his career. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Tiel Reardon, whom he married at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in 1951. After many years in Dolgeville, NY, the couple relocated to South Carolina, and subsequently moved to Florida. In their retirement, they enjoyed traveling throughout the world, reading and playing golf. Warren was predeceased by his parents and his brother, John D. Reardon. In addition to his wife, he leaves his children, Nancy Reardon Sayer, and Robert John Reardon, and their spouses, Steven J. Sayer, and Betsey Anderson Reardon; his grandchildren, Scott Sayer, Kathryn Sayer, Sally Reardon and Tiel Reardon; sister-in-law, Marie Reardon; brother-in-law, William Tiel; as well as nieces, nephews and their children. A private memorial will be held for the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Revolutionary Trails Council of the Boy Scouts of America, 1401 Genesee St., Utica, NY 13501.
