KUA students Kelly Do, Claude Luo, Dana Pan, and Jae Hong Jung Joined a group of high school students on an eight-day leadership, college-preparatory, and community service program called Ivy Leader over Thanksgiving Break. The program took place at Dartmouth College where students participated in engaging, dynamic discussions led by professors from Dartmouth College and the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
"While the KUA students personally developed from the lectures, SAT tutoring sessions, public speaking classes, and team collaboration project, our staff was thoroughly impressed with their passion for serving others. The KUA students partnered with a local organization that prepares Thanksgiving dinner and delivers the meals to over 600 families in need living in the Upper Valley region of New Hampshire and Vermont. They chopped and cooked hundreds of pounds of vegetables, filled to-go boxes with Thanksgiving meals, and worked side-by-side for two days with other community members. Kelly, Claude, Dana, and Jaehong exemplified intellectual curiosity, confidence, and leadership in their work throughout the entire program, and Ivy Leader would like to commend them for their poise, commitment to their education, and spirit of service," said Ivy Leader program director Ryan Sinclair.
