The KUA dropped their second straight game. Today Tilton held off a late KUA rally for an 8-6 win. KUA dug themself a big hole by falling behind 8-0 after two innings. In the first Tilton scored six runs on six hits. Their hits were of many varieties. A couple of bloop singles, a sharp line drive and a two run home run. In the second KUA pitching struggled to find the plate and walked four Tilton batters leding to two runs. After that the game settled down. KUA's defense began to play better as the pitching settled down. Heading into the seventh KUA trailed 8-1. After the first two batters were hit by pitches Peter LaFosse stung a single to left loading the bases. Dan Cornell followed with a near grand slam. His drive to right center hit the fence on the fly driving in two runs. Chris Zuccarro added another double that plated two more KUA runs and then he scored on a wild pitch. All of this was done with no outs. Tilton's pitching got two outs and then walked a KUA batter bringing the potential tying run to the plate. Unfortuanately for KUA a fly ball to center ended the game in Tilton's favor.
After a rough start KUA's Alex Clark settled in on the mound giving up no runs from the second inning to the fifth. Peter Young came in and struck out the side in the sixth. Offensively Peter LaFosse went two for four with a double, run scored and one RBI. Dan Cornell and Chris Zuccaro added two RBI apiece.
