Flickinger Theater Seats Dedicated to Kay and Gardiner Macleay
Trustee and past parent Bob Bartles announced the dedication of two theatre seats in the Flickinger Auditorium to Kay and Garidner MacLeay at All School Assembly on January 28, 2010 in recognition of their many contributions to the Kimball Union and Meriden communities, and their appreciation of the arts at Kimball Union.
Gardiner Macleay passed away on December 13, 2009. Beloved members of the community, the MacLeays owned the Meriden Store for many years, and Gardiner served as postmaster. He was also the Meriden Fire Chief and both he and Kay were active volunteers in the community. Mrs. MacLeay was on hand for the dedication.
