KUA Falls To Tabor

Tabor Academy 3, Kimball Union 2

The Kimball Union boys’ varsity hockey team dropped just its third game of the season on Saturday, falling 3-2 to the Tabor Academy Seawolves in Marion, Ma. After a scoreless first period that saw KUA junior goalie Sean Dynan make several key saves, the Seawolves struck in the second on a shot from the slot that eluded Dynan through traffic. Tabor quickly doubled its lead on a 2-on-1 rush but KUA senior Bobby Young scored off a rebound from fellow senior Roope Hirvonen to cut the lead in half. However, Tabor answered back with a goal of its own and took a 3-1 lead into the third period. KUA pressed in the third and a goal by junior Chris Konin got the team within one but the Wildcats could not get the equalizer despite carrying the play throughout the period.
