KUA gets a win in the books

The Wildcats of KUA traveled north of the boarder to Stanstead College, located in Stanstead Quebec for the first game of the season. The boys came out really well considering they have only been on the ice as a team for the last week. They played a hard-nosed KUA style of hockey throughout the total 60mins, and even into overtime. While they went down 1 to 0 in the second period, they nevertheless remained relentless in their pursuit of success. With a power-play goal coming late in the game Roope Hirvonen was able help rally his teammates. His give and go one-timer was assisted by Mike Lombardi and came at the end of a dominant shift. This goal forced the game into overtime where it was ultimately won by KUA with a well-placed shot coming from Jordan Harris on a 4 v 3 power-play. Sean Dynan had the start in net and made some incredible saves to keep the Wildcats’ momentum. KUA plays Northwood tomorrow at Stanstead before heading off for fall break.
