Vieria's Four Scores Leads KUA Over Pomfret
The KUA Varsity Football Team opened their season on the road by traveling to Pomfret, CT. After a slow start defensively, KUA was able to stop Pomfret's initial drive and on their 3rd offensive play of the game Casey Tanner took an Alex Skinner swing pass 68 yards for a touchdown. Won Kun Park kicked the extra point. The first quarter ended with a score of 7-0. In the second quarter KUA's big play offense ended any chance for Pomfret. Kevin Vieria had two TD runs of 87 and 20 yards, he also hauled in a 35 yard TD pass from Skinner. Vieria closed out KUA's scoring by taking the second half kickoff 80 yards for his fourth touchdown of the game.
Vieria led the KUA offense with 105 yards rushing on 7 attempts while grabbing 5 passes for 94 yards. Tanner had 2 receptions for 86 yards while Skinner completed 9 of 11 passes for 194 yards and 2 TD's.
