Wildcats Lose Close Battle With Bulls
Once again KUA led the Blue Bulls through 5 innings, but the Holderness bats came alive for 4 runs in the 6th to take an 11-9 lead for good.
There were several highlights in this rematch: Heather Blackwood helped turn 2 double-plays while playing the hot corner. Becca Carver threw out her first baserunner since taking over the catching position for Reggie Hammond who is out for the season with an illness. Megan McDevitt struck out 6 batters then turned around and hit a triple. Allie Bowen went 3-for-4 at the plate and Jamila Elmaksoud got on base all 4 times. Allie Moehrke and Addie Herbert continue to be red hot on the base path leading the team in stolen bases and runs scored.
The Wildcats continue to improve everyday and are starting to play exciting softball. Go KU!
