Wildcats Open Flood-Marr With Win

Dawson Wood scored the game-winning goal with just over four minutes to play as the Wildcats took down Westminster 2-1 on Friday to open the Flood-Marr Tournament at Milton Academy. KUA grabbed the lead in the second period when Conal Mulkerrin scored on a rebound from Lucas Hannay's shot. Jackson Kimelman also assisted on the play. Westminster tied it late in the second, but with under five minutes left in the third, Jackson Davies won a faceoff, and linemate Alexis Gagne gathered the loose puck and fed Wood in the slot. The sophomore made no mistake in burying the go-ahead goal. Goalie Cam Ingram was excellent in net for KUA, stopping 26 of 27 shotes.
