The Wildcats held their home meet at KUA on October 15th in front of their family and friends on a cold, windy but beautiful fall day! Our runners ran great races and showed the same heart and determination they bring to every race.
The girls’ team had a fantastic day! Ella, Caroline and Claire and placed 2nd overall as a team!!! Once again, they ran much of the race together and finished closely behind each other with Ella leading the way. Their teamwork and steady effort have been a constant all season.
On the boys’ team, Thomas ran his fastest race of the season and earned an impressive first place finish in a field of more than 70 runners. He ran steadily throughout the race and stealthily picked up his pace to outrun three runners who had been ahead of him much of the race. Leonard, Spencer, Jasper and Michael also ran strong races today and helped the team place fourth overall.
Although the season is not yet complete, this meet marked the final home race for our four seniors, Ella, Jasper, Spencer and Thomas. They ran great races on this final KUA course. Great job to all the KUA runners for always showing up and performing their best. Well done, Wildcats!
