Cushing Tops Wildcats

In the first game of a home-and-home weekend series against Cushing Academy, the Wildcats dug an early hole and couldn't climb out. After falling behind 3-0 in the second period, the Wildcats battled back to make the score 3-2, but ultimately fell to a strong Cushing team. Sam LeDrew and Corwith Simmers scored in the second period, and goalie Dan Heroux (32 saves) shut the door the rest of the way, but the Wildcats could not get the equalizer. Cushing added an empty-net goal with one second remaining to round out the scoring.
