Wildcats Get Revenge on Stanstead

The KUA Wildcats avenged their loss in the first game of the season to a talented Stanstead College team by beating the Spartans 4-1 at home on Saturday to split the season series. Sam LeDrew, off perfect pass from Jackson Kyrkostas, gave the Wildcats a 1-0 lead just 30 seconds into the game, and Landon Paul found the top corner late in the third to give KUA a 2-0 lead after one period. After a scoreless second, the teams traded goals in the third, with Corwith Simmers tipping in an Ian Ramsay shot three minutes into the period. Stanstead cut the lead to 3-1 with a late powerplay goal, but Simmers put the game on ice with an empty-netter in the final minute. Goalie Dan Heroux was sharp in net for KUA, stopping 31 shots for the win.
