Seven Different Scorers Lead KUA Past Deerfield

Seven different Wildcats found the back of the net and Tyler Wishart had five points (1 G, 4 A) as KUA topped Deerfield 7-3 on Wednesday in Meriden. AJ Noel opened the scoring four minutes into the game when he batted home a rebound off a shot from Dan Guerra. Six minutes later, Jackson Kyrkostas finished off a passing play from linemates Wishart and Revy Mack to make the score 2-0. Kyrkostas appeared to tally another late in the first, but the goal was waived off by the referee who couldn't see how quickly the shot went in and out of the net. Deerfield cut the lead in half late in the second period but two important goals, one by Conner Chalmers and the other by Will Blackburn, gave KUA a three-goal lead heading into the third. Bobby May, Wishart, and Mike Sullo all scored in the third to round out the scoring for the Wildcats. Goalie Dan Heroux made 33 saves in the win.
