GJVS travelled to Andover, NH and played under party cloudy skies against Proctor Academy. After a short bus ride, the Wildcats took to the field. The KUA offense had some early chances, with Julia Ferro Anton and Jitselin Montas working with midfielder Hadley Bethke. Eventually the Proctor offense found openings to pass in from the midfield drives and opened up the scoring in the first few minutes. Hannah Black, Jane Zhong, captain Addy Kopacz, and Gabi D'Angelo worked hard in the midfield to work the ball up the field. Briana Angelli had her best game of the season and drove the ball out wide to stymie the Proctor offense. Maggie Lopez also played well on defense, as did Sabrina Haberstock, co-captain Kylie Donovan and Elsa Shortlidge, and they kept Proctor from scoring even more goals. KUA struggled to break through the Proctor defense to generate offensive plays, though Ella Wang created some great chances. Ada Yoder in goal had several great saves, but the Proctor offense proved unstoppable. In the end, Proctor won 5-0. Join us on Saturday at New Hampton School!
