Wildcats Dodge Shutout vs. Wildcats

KUA Wildcats lose tough fight to Dublin Wildcats
It was the battle of the Wildcats: KUA vs. Dublin. Hadley Bethke scored the lone goal for KUA to keep the team from a complete shutout. Misora Hashiramoto was the workhorse of the midfield wing and the defensive wing in the 2nd half, sending long balls up to the strikers Julia Ferro Anton and Hadley. Ada Yoder made many saves, but the aggressive Dublin offense peppered the goal with shots. Dublin's crosses were in particular well placed, and only timely clears by Kylie Donovan, Hannah Black, Briani Angelli, Elsa Shortlidge, and Sabrina Haberstock kept the Dublin goals from the double digits. Maggie Lopez's role was multifaceted as she played striker, center midfield, and defensive back. Jitzelin Montas had her best game yet, breaking up plays on the wing and covering the attacking Dublin wings. Ella Wang played in her first game, and made an incredible clearance from the ground that almost looked like capoeira. In the midfield, Nangsel Norgay, Jane Zhong, and Emilia Williams worked hard to drive the ball up the field. Ultimately, Dublin ran away with the score, winning 9-1.
