GJVS Loses Tough Match to NMH

GJVS traveled to Northfield Mount Hermon today and played a strong opponent in the NMH Hoggers. The Wildcat defense was anchored by the centerbacks of Hadley Bethke and Kylie Donovan, who repelled increasingly tenacious attacks up the wings by the NMH offense, with help from fullbacks Briana Angelli, Jitselin Montas, Sabrina Haberstock, and Elsa Shortlidge. Ada Yoder was a powerhouse in goal and saved numerous shots by the Hoggers' offense. Junior Addie Kopacz had a terrific game in midfield, despite a strong kick that knocked the wind out of her. Ultimately, the Hoggers' offense was unstoppable and scored many goals much like Wayne "The Great One" Gretzsky in his heyday. Emilia Williams played both midfield and striker, connecting with fellow striker Julia Ferro Anton. Hannah French kept the attacking wing covered to break up the NMH wing attacks. Nangsel Norgay returned to the pitch on right midfield wing, with Gabi D'Angelo taking up the left wing position. Join us at our next game away at Dublin School on Saturday!
