Alumni Council

The KUA Alumni Counci's primary purpose is to connect alumni with each other and to Kimball Union. The Council, being drawn together by a shared affection for and devotion to KUA, consists of alumni volunteers from different ages, states, and nations. We promote our KUA connection both in Meriden and around the world. We also share our alumni perspective with the Administration and the Board of Trustees with the hope of advancing our school mission.
The AC wants to represent all KUA alumni. If you have ideas for regional events, wish to host a gathering, or would like to volunteer, please email us at The Alumni Council is eager to hear from you, and is always looking for motivated alumni, of all ages, who want to get involved!

  • About the KUA Alumni Council

Founded in 1906, the Alumni Council serves as the official representative of the alumni of the Academy and provides a structure for alumni to remain connected to the Academy following graduation. The 24 members of the Council, representing every generation of alumni, provide an alumni perspective on the affairs of the Academy by presenting their interests and concerns to the administration and the Board of Trustees. The Council also works closely with the administration and other volunteers to recognize and encourage alumni involvement with the Academy.
Each year the Alumni Council presents three awards: the Sportsmanship Award in the fall, and the Alumni Achiever’s Award and Alumni Council Volunteer Award at Reunion Weekend. In the fall, the Council hosts a reception and dinner with student leaders and in the spring the Council participates in the annual Senior Dinner where the senior class is welcomed into the alumni community. Recently, the Council assumed the role of organizing the Annual Wildcat Classic, a golf tournament designed to connect alumni to the school in a fun atmosphere with the proceeds benefiting financial aid at KUA. In coordination with the administration, the Alumni Council also selects and carries through other important projects.

If you have an interest in learning more about the Alumni Council, please contact Katie Wardrop. The Alumni Council is a great way to remain involved and informed about KUA and its future, and a fun and important way to give back.
  • Recent Events:

Boston Harbor Cruise (Boston, MA) 9/22: KUA alums and faculty came together for a great night of connecting while cruising in Boston Harbor.
