The Kimball Union Academy girls' varsity tennis team competes in the Lakes Region League, facing schools within the New England Prep School Athletic Conference (NEPSAC). The season kicks off in March with practices and challenge matches, and the team plays 1-3 matches per week throughout the spring.
KUA tennis emphasizes developing the fitness, skills, and strategies needed to thrive in a highly competitive league. Beyond the technical aspects, the program focuses on individual growth, sportsmanship, and teamwork, fostering a supportive environment where players can excel both on and off the court.
The goal of the KUA Tennis Program is to instill a lifelong love of the sport while preparing student-athletes for challenges in tennis and beyond. Whether competing in matches or building camaraderie with teammates, players leave the program with strong fundamentals, a competitive spirit, and lasting memories.

It was a chilly day for a match, but we had a fun time at St. Paul's School! Adde brought home a singles match victory, and Ali, Piper, Mary, Clairette, and Shoshi all fought hard in their singles matches. The doubles was fun to watch; I saw a lot of great strategy happening, especially with players keeping the ball away from the opposing net player and trying out lobs. Thanks for your great effort and attitude, team!
It was a gorgeous, sunny day here on the Hilltop, with a bit of wind to make things interesting on the tennis courts! We were happy to get out there and play a match with VA before the long weekend. Big congratulations to Piper, Shoshi, and Hailey for securing victories in their singles matches! Clairette and Shoshi teamed up to win their doubles match, too! Thank you to all players for playing up and for bringing great energy today. Wishing you all a restful weekend!
It was a gorgeous evening for a tennis match, and it's always great to see the team from Proctor! We started off with some great singles matches, with all players fighting hard to put games on the board. Adde came through with a team win in singles, clinching a tie-breaker to win her match. Both singles matches kept up the hard work, with Ali and Piper, as well as Mia D. and Yoyo, mounting impressive comebacks to secure games in their matches. Even though we didn't get the wins for the matches in doubles, the players never gave up and kept their positive, upbeat attitude; they should be proud of the matches they played! As the sun was setting, the players enjoyed a nice treat of Meriden Deli sandwiches for dinner. We'll look forward to playing Proctor again later in the season!
