The KUA Boys Hockey teamed earned their 23rd win of the season over Proctor Academy. KUA was able to use a six goal second period to win 6-1. After a first period where both KUA and Proctor had chances KUA began to convert on theirs. Elie Vered scored KUA’s first goal and Greg Burmaster’s wrister from the right faceoff circle quickly made a 0-0 game 2-0 in favor of KUA. Jonathan Charbonneau added two second period goals and Jordan Babb added one of his own. Vered was able to secure his second tally of the afternoon and that was the end of KUA’s scoring. In goal for the Wildcats, Eric Bogart turned awat 28 out of 29 shots and needed to be excellent when the game was in doubt. Next up for KUA is a road game, at Cushing Academy on Saturday at 4pm.

Version:1.0 StartHTML:0000000149 EndHTML:0000001453 StartFragment:0000000199 EndFragment:0000001419 StartSelection:0000000199 EndSelection:0000001419 The KUA Boys Hockey Team ran into an inspired Holderness team today and dropped their third game of the season by a score of 3-2.  All day long KUA was playing catch up from a score and effort standpoint.  After a scoreless first, Holderness converted a power play opportunity when KUA was unable to clear the zone.  Soon after a great individual effort by Casey Miller got the puck to Greg Burmaster  who found Jon Charbonneau alone in front to even the score.  Again, Holderness converted on the power play when KUA again, again failed to clear the zone.  Jordan Babb evened the score again for the Wildcats when he converted a power play opportunity of his own.  In the third KUA took four consecutive penalties and Holderness made them pay on the third one as they scored their third power play goal of the day to give them the final 3-2 lead.  In the game KUA outshot Holderness  35-18, but Holderness was excellent in limiting KUA’s second chance opportunities.  The loss drops KUA to 21-3-3.  Next up for the Wildcats is a road game with Proctor on Wednesday.
