The Junior Varsity teams at Kimball Union Academy are dedicated to teaching fundamental skills, fostering athletic growth, and creating the foundation for future success as Wildcat student-athletes. Focused on development, these teams provide an inclusive and supportive environment for players to improve their abilities, build confidence, and gain valuable game experience.
Coaches emphasize skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship, ensuring that every player grows both on and off the field, ice, court, or track. The Wildcats lost a very tough game against Tabor Academy on Saturday. The Tabor team was strong, playing well together and passing skillfully. Though much of the play in the first half from KUA was sluggish, the second half proved to be better. The forward line had some excellent runs and opportunities to score, but unfortunately no one could find the back of the net. Solid play from goalie Josie Timmons '08 and defenders Alli Howe '08, Gilly Herbert '09, Maddie Fernsell '11, and Heather Blackwood '08 was crucial to keeping the score 1 - 0. The team is making huge strides and improving daily. They will play their next game at home against Dublin on Wednesday.
