Donald Horner
Mr. Donald Buchanan Horner, 76, died October 31, 2016 at Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, FL after a brief illness.
He was born in White Plains, New York and lived between West Hartford, Connecticut and Sebastian, FL since 1972.
Don was an insurance agent for Allstate Insurance for 40 years having retired in 2006.
He was a very active member of Community Church, Vero Beach, FL and Friends of Bill. Don loved to golf; volunteer with Habitat for Humanity and enjoyed mission work with his church.
Survivors include wife of 55 years, Kathy F. Horner of Sebastian, FL; sons, Daniel M. Horner of Bloomfield, Connecticut and John B. Horner of West Hartford, Connecticut; daughter, Katherine H. Edlund of West Hartford, Connecticut; sister, Lynne H. Martin of Canaan, Connecticut and 4 Grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Community Church, 1901 23rd Street, Vero Beach, FL 32960 in memory of Don Horner.
A Celebration of his life service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, November 4, 2016 at Community Church, Vero Beach, FL with Rev. Dr. Robert Taylor Baggott, officiating.
