Edward Smith Cronick

Edward Smith Cronick passed away in Lyndeborough, NH, on June 1, 2015, at the age of 61. He was surrounded with love from his proudest accomplishments: his four children, as well as his mother and lifelong dear friend, Sarah Ellis. Edward was born and raised in New England. As a result, he was a highly devoted Patriots and Red Sox fan. As a young man he attended Kimball Union Academy and graduated from Colby College, where he swam competitively on their nationally ranked swim team. After college, he married Laura Murray and together they raised a family in Anchorage, Alaska. Ed was a visionary entrepreneur always ahead of the curve. He led his life with eager enthusiasm and passion and could always see the pony under a pile of dirt. From the northern slopes of Alaska, to the shores of Louisiana, Ed's infectious and charismatic personality drew in friends and business partners alike and, more often than not, they were one and the same. Most recently, Ed worked at Kimball Union Academy as the Director of Sustainability, one of his proudest achievements. This position brought together his passions for the environment, sustainability, the outdoors, food and storytelling. Those who were close to and loved Ed will remember him for his eternal optimism, unwavering support of their dreams, his "wow" factor, incredible dance moves, exquisite cooking, unconditional love and a smile that will always light up a room. Ed is preceded in death by his sister, Ellen Cronick; and stepfather, Richard Ragle. He is survived by his mother, Harriet Ragle; his four children, Kelsey (Ben) Cronick Mohr, Sarah Cronick, Chris Cronick and Luke Cronick; and his grandson, Augustus Mohr.
