KUA Overcomes Adversity for Win at Tilton

Wednesday's trip to Tilton was made without six key individuals (including Coach Hunnewell and manager Reid Hosp), but hard work and hustle by the ten able-bodied players carried the day and saw KUA leave happy with a 45-31 victory. Sickness and injuries depleted their numbers, but the team arrived in high spirits and was ready to run. After opening up an early lead, Tilton fought back and nearly drew even before KUA went on a run to close out the first half with a five-point lead. KUA was able to control play in the second half with some aggressive fast breaks and tough defense.

Alex Alexandrescu led KUA (15 points) with solid play on both ends of the court. Cam Plume (8 points) and Nick Mason (4 points) chipped in down low, while Colin Lewis (6 points), Mason Walker (6 points), and Jack Bolg (2 points) provided some spark off the bench. Will Haynes, Kelvin Zhang provided strong leadership and quality minutes, while Roger Liu and Owen Xu played some stellar defense in the second half.

KUA takes on NMH Saturday night at home.
