Wildcats Beat Proctor in Lakes Region Semis

Two juniors powered the offense on senior night as Sullivan Mack and Paul Dore both scored twice as the Kimball Union Wildcats beat Proctor 4-1 in the semi-finals of the Lakes Region playoffs. After falling behind 1-0 early, KUA controlled the play the rest of the way, as Dore scored early in the second period to tie the game. Mack scored his first of the game later in the second when he found the top corner on a shot from the high slot. Leading 2-1 heading into the third, KUA capitalized on an early powerplay as Dore tipped home a pass from Tomas Mazura (2 A) to give the Wildcats the 3-1 lead. Midway through the period, Dore sent a pass to Mack in the neutral zone, and Mack did the rest, beating the defenseman wide before cutting in front of the net to bury his team-leading 27th goal of the year. Junior goalie Zach Paputsakis made 18 saves for the win.
