KUA Purchases Swett House

Standing between Macleay House and Hall Farm Dormitory, and across the street from Jones House, the Swett Family occupied the home as friendly neighbors to Kimball Union for over 40 years. The transaction between KUA and Richard Swett P ’85 was negotiated by members of the Board of Trustees. “It’s a very important, strategic acquisition for us,” remarks CFO Robert Blake.  He continues, “The house is located in the heart of campus, and the purchase will allow us to improve accessibility between the upper campus and the lower fields.” Swett remarked that he has many fond memories over the past forty years in town and that he looks forward to spending time with his daughter and driving his RV to Florida.
