Seven Different Scorers Propel Wildcats Past Brunswick

The Kimball Union Wildcats used a balanced attack, getting goals from seven different players, to score a 7-3 win over Brunswick School (CT) at the Exeter Invitational on Sunday. First period goals by Seth Stadheim (1G, 1A) and Kyle Penney (1G, 1A) allowed KUA to escape a slow start with a 2-2 tie after one period. In the second, Arlo Merritt (1G) scored a short-handed goal and Tomas Mazura (1G, 1A) netted the eventual game winner to break a 3-3 tie. The third period was all KUA as the Wildcats scored three goals, with Zach Taylor (1G), Paul Dore (1G, 2A), and freshman defenseman Connor Chalmers (1G) lighting the lamp. Veeti Kohvakka made 22 saves for the win in net.
