Robert D. Kelly
Robert D. Kelly passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the Medical Center of Vermont on May 29, 2018. He was born July 1, 1963 to Robert C. Kelly and Esther D. Work in Burlington. He grew up in South Burlington, attended the Orchard Elementary School, Cardigan Mountain Middle School in Canaan, NH and graduated from Kimball Union Academy in Meriden, NH.
He lived and worked on Nantucket Island, MA from 1984 until 2004 when he returned to South Burlington. He loved lacrosse, which he played in high school and coached a girls team on Nantucket. He was a surfer and hockey player. His favorite companion was "Macky" a beautiful German Shepherd.
He is survived by his mother, father, stepmother, Diana and 3 brothers: Bruce (Maryann) of Milton, Andrew of Jericho and Scott (Yolanda) and his niece, Arianna, of South Carolina. Rob was cremated and his ashes will go out to sea. Rob was a good friend, well liked and fun to be around.
