Back-to-Back Champions!

For the first time in school history, the Kimball Union Wildcats (30-5-2) captured back-to-back NEPSAC Elite 8 Championships with a 3-2 win over Salisbury School on Sunday at St. Anselm’s College. Though Salisbury got on the board first, KUA answered on the next shift when junior Drew Bennett tipped in a  pass from senior Bryce Dolan. KUA came out strong in the second and a wrist shot from the point by Dolan found its way through traffic to give KUA a 2-1 lead going into the third period. In the third, KUA took a 3-1 lead when senior Andranik Armstrong buried a loose puck off a Dolan rebound, with senior Logan Cash also earning an assist on the play. Salisbury scored with two minutes to play but KUA senior goalie Sean Dynan shut the door in the final minute and earned his second championship win by making 35 saves. Dynan finishes his KUA career by going 6-0 in the playoffs and 11-1 in tournament elimination games overall.
