Wildcats Secure Hard Fought Win Against Proctor

The Wildcats took on Proctor this Wednesday after a tough loss to them the previous Friday, April 26th. The game was a continual back and forth, yet the Wildcats were able to band together as a team and have their best performance of the season to win 15-13.

The game was dependent on each team's ability to control the ball and the Wildcats were able to dominate with 24 ground balls, 12 draw controls, and two turnovers. As well, offensively, KUA was a force with six different goal scorers. Hadley Bethke led the way with five goals and two assists, followed by Portia Berard with three goals and two assists. Svia Russman-Araya gained three goals and an assist and Mallory Clark had a standout game with two goals. Senior Julia Chedel tallied a goal and an assist and Lindie Brinkman snagged a goal as well.

The KUA defense made their presence all over the field and continued to hold Proctor until the end of the fourth quarter. Bridget Clark tallied 8 saves for the wildcats and Sylvie McClure led the defense with three ground balls.

The Wildcats take on Cushing Academy at home this Saturday, May 4th at 3:30PM.
