KUA Pulls Past NMH 20-12

KUA took on NMH away on Saturday, April 20th. The match begin with some quick goals from Hadley Bethke to make the Wildcats feel at ease. However, NMH came back with competing goals, which lead to a competitive first half. Between halves, the Wildcats were able to band together and make some changes both offensively and defensively. KUA's ability to adjust mid game, demonstrated their strength as a team, which led to their overall victory 20-12 over NMH.

The Wildcats displayed their depth offensively, with multiple goal scorers. Hadley Bethke led the team in points, with eight goals and three assists. Other goal scorers included, Portia Berard with four goals and two assists, Svia Russman-Araya with four goals and an assist, Lindie Brinkman with a hatrick and an impressive goal by defender, Maggie Lopez.

Although, the WIldcats had multiple goal scorers, the solid win was due to the ability for KUA to possess the ball. Hadley Behtke and Svia Russman-Araya dominated the draw control with over 20 draw controls between the two. As well, the Wildcats received 11 free position shots and were brilliant at capitalizing on them.

KUA is looking forward to their next game on Monday, April 22nd, where they will take on St. Pauls at home on Pope Field at 5:00PM.
