KUA Win Over Brewster to Finish the Weekend

After their solid win against Tilton on Friday, the Wildcats added on another win to the weekend after defeating Brewster 17-6 on Saturday. It was a slow start to the game, with both teams fighting hard to get the ball in the back of the net. However, KUA was able to band together and build their momentum and earn points from multiple Wildcats. Hadley Bethke led the way with six goals, followed by Svia Russman-Araya with five, Lindie Brinkman with four and Portia Berard with two. There were multiple assists for KUA as well, with Ali Sprissler, Portia Berard and Lindie Brinkman with two a piece and Svia Russman-Araya grabbing one as well.

The game would have been much closer, if it weren't for the outstanding effort by the defense. Bridget Clark was a standout between the pipes and was even running down the field on multiple occasions. Clark tallied nine saves and two interceptions for the wildcats. Additionally, Maggie Lopez, Ava Mae Yates, McKenna Dockery, and Sylvie McClure were a force defensively and consistently kept the Brewster offense from getting a good look at the goal.

The Wildcats will next face Holderness on Wednesday, April 17th at 3:00PM.
