KUA falls short after a tough fight against Brooks

The Wildcats came out strong against Brooks in North Andover, MA on Wednesday. The first half was a back and forth battle and the second half began as a tie, 6-6. Hadley Bethke and Svia Russman-Araya were key players offensively, Bethke had five goals and an assist and Russman-Araya had 3 goals and 2 assists. Brooks pulled away in the second half to win the game 14-8 in the end. The match was heavy in the defense. Maggie Lopez, McKenna Dockery, Payson Fowler-Thorsen, Sylvie McClure and Lindie Brinkman were key players with the Wildcats' ability to hold Brooks to only 14 goals. Most notably, Bridget Clark was a standout between the pipes, with 15 saves and a memorable assist down field to Hadley Bethke.

The Wildcats will next face St. Pauls for their home opener on Pope Field next Wednesday, April 3rd at 3:00PM.
