Wildcats Win Game One of Prep Cup

Jack Sadowski and Malcolm Baar each scored a pair of goals as the Wildcats doubled-up perennial Rhode Island powerhouse Mount St. Charles 6-3 in the first game of the Game Sheet Prep Cup at the Rinks at Exeter on Friday. Sadowski struck just 17 seconds into the game, and after Mount St. Charles tied it up, Baar scored to regain the lead for KUA. The first period saw three more goals, one by Mount St. Charles and one more each by Sadowski and Baar. CJ Watroba and Sam LeDrew each scored in the second, and the Wildcats took a 6-3 lead into the locker room. Goalie Blake McMeniman (28 saves) made the lead stand in the third, earning the win in net.
