KUA Beats Cushing

KUA traveled the two hours to Cushing Academy and played in 35 degree weather to earn the win. The girls started out with lots of positive and excited energy. After several offsides calls, Lolle Maier kicked off the scoring with a 1:1 with the Cushing goalie. About 20 minutes later, Lolle, again, found herself on a breakaway and earned a second goal. In the second half Bethany Solari drew a foul in the box, where she decidedly scored off a PK. Reese Combe had an outstanding performance in the midfield, and goalkeepers Sydney Zackman and Taylor Swett, along with their back four (Gwyn McGee, Carys O'Connor, Hadley Bethke, and Addi Hubert), earned another clean sheet for the season. Thank you to all the loyal families who not only watched the entire game but provided some very yummy drinks and snacks for the bus ride home. The Wildcats are looking forward to their last regular season game this Saturday, November 11th at 2:15pm at New Hampton School.
