On a picturesque fall afternoon, the KUA Wildcats made the journey to Cushing Academy to face off against the formidable Penguins. In what can only be described as one of their top performances this season, the Wildcats demonstrated their prowess on the field, forming seamless connections and stopping Cushing's offensive efforts.

With just over three minutes left in the opening quarter, the Wildcats orchestrated a brilliant play. They earned a 25-yard hit, expertly executed by Lulu Leppard, who sent the ball to the top of the circle. There, Analena Connors deftly touched the ball just outside the circle and swiftly propelled it toward the stroke mark. Eva Rossmassler displayed exceptional skill, redirecting the ball past the Cushing goalkeeper. Ainsley Lonczak applied the finishing touch to ensure it found the back of the net, propelling the Wildcats to a 1-0 lead.
Cushing came back strong in the second quarter, quickly leveling the score at 1-1 just two minutes into the quarter.

However, the Wildcats were undeterred, and four minutes later, they regained the lead with an impressive goal from an offensive corner. Lulu Leppard received the inserted ball and delivered a precise, flat pass to Mallory Clark, who executed a brilliant reverse chip toward the net. Ainsley Lonczak, once again displaying her skill, deflected the ball over the goalie, and Eva Rossmassler expertly directed it into the net, giving the Wildcats a 2-1 advantage.

The Wildcats didn't stop there. Just a few minutes later, their relentless determination paid off. It all started with a solid defensive stick block from Ava Mae, who gained possession and sent a through ball to Lulu Leppard. Lulu swiftly released another through ball, this time to Mallory Clark, who carried the ball towards the top of the circle. Mallory sent a flat pass to Analena Connors, who executed a spin move to outmaneuver the Cushing defender. With precision and power, Analena drove the ball into the back of the net, extending the Wildcats' lead to 3-1.

The second half of the game continued to see intense pressure from both sides, prompting the defensive line to step up in a big way. The trio of Payson Fowler-Thorsen, Michaela Cokinos, and Ava Mae Yates proved instrumental in holding the fort. The second half remained scoreless, resulting in a 3-1 victory for the Wildcats.

In the goal, Maddy Pope was a standout, making ten crucial saves to secure the well-deserved win. The Wildcats showcased their exceptional teamwork, skill, and unwavering determination, making this game a memorable and significant victory in their season.
