The first quarter saw both teams locked in intense competition, with Deerfield managing to break through and get on the scoreboard first, capitalizing on an offensive corner with a powerful drive into the back of the net. However, the Wildcats didn't waver, and they continued to work tirelessly, ending the quarter with a score of 0-1, keeping the game well within reach.
