80 Minutes

The Wildcats hosted a strong NMH team today and played very well in the first half. Both teams had dramatic scoring opportunities in the opening minutes, and keeper Harrison Hutton made a great save early on to keep NMH off the board. After that the defense lead by Theo Korhonen and Lucas Mandel limited NMH to a variety of long shots that went wide of the net, and Adi Lesbec and Michel Jung had some great opportunities to score. NMH went ahead 1- 0 on a strong shot from in front in the 15th minute and scored again in the 25th minute to take a two goal lead. James Lee took a spectacular shot from the right corner that got by the goalkeeper but hit the left goalpost and caromed out, and NMH scored on a corner kick to take a 3 – 0 lead into halftime.  KUA started strong in the second half but gave up an early goal and then faded down the stretch. The game was nowhere near as lopsided as the score suggests, but the NMH side was unquestionably the stronger team on the pitch today.
