A Messy Game Slips Away

KUA and VA faced off on a wet slippery field today. The game featured two penalty kicks, several dramatic slides ,and one unorthodox (although presumably legal) throw-in. Vermont was more effective at possessing the ball than KUA, but both teams relied often on a long kick and run. Oliver Ayers played an outstanding game in the KUA net, turning away a number of strong shots, but KUA just couldn’t get the ball in the net and the visitors emerged victorious. The Wildcats travel to Cushing Academy tomorrow to play their third game in four days and will get another shot at VA in a few weeks.
