Two KUA Wildcats Varsity Pitchers Team Up In Shutout Victory Against Brewster Academy

KUA defeated Brewster Academy 12-0 on Wednesday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. AJ Noel pitched the Wildcats to victory. The right-hander lasted four innings, allowing four hits and zero runs while striking out five. Mack threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

KUA secured the victory thanks to nine runs in the first inning. The Wildcats' offense in the first was led by Mica McGinley-Smith, Silas Nowlan, Alex Shareiko, Leo Barta, McGinley-Smith, and Mack, all driving in runs in the inning. McGinley-Smith led off the game with a solo homer.

KUA socked three home runs on the day - the one from McGinley-Smith; Brendan Walker homered in the third inning, and Mack went for the long ball in the third as well.

The Wildcats tallied 12 hits in the five innings of play. Jon Bruner and Charlie Creelman each had a hit, and McGinley-Smith, Shareiko, Mack, and Nowlan each racked up multiple hits; McGinley-Smith went 3-for-4 at the plate (2 2B and a HR) to lead KUA in hits. Scoring runs in the game were McGinley-Smith (3), Mack (3), Nowlan, Walker (2), Shareiko, Bruner, and Ray Thurston. 

KUA Wildcats Varsity was sure-handed defensively and didn't commit a single error.
