KUA Beats Scrappy Hornets Team

Defensively, KUA was led by Brendan Walker's four-hit complete game and fourteen strikeout outing and key plays by AJ Noel, Mica McGinley-Smith, and Ray Thurston. Alex Shareiko was locked in behind the plate as well. The offense didn't click on all cylinders, but they got the job done - Mack (1) and Thurston (2) had runs batted in, and McGinley-Smith's triple, walk and two runs scored were keys to the win. Shareiko, Jon Bruner, and Leo Barta all had hits, and Shareiko and Bruner also scored. Barta had a key sacrifice bunt to move two important insurance runs into scoring position. It was a good team win today! We are back in action on Wednesday at home against Brewster - first pitch scheduled for 4:00 pm.
