Walker Dominates, Bats Hot as Wildcats Win in Five

Coach Van Dolah
Walker's Complete Game Gem and KUA's offense propels the Wildcats to Victory.
  • Brendan Walker didn't allow a single run as KUA defeated New Hampton 10-0 on Wednesday. Walker allowed just one hit while striking out twelve and surrendering one walk in his complete game.
  • KUA secured the victory thanks to six runs in the fourth inning. Mica McGinley-Smith, Revy Mack, Silas Nowlan, and Leo Barta each had RBIs in the big inning.
  • KUA Wildcats Varsity got on the board in the first inning when Mack singled on a 3-1 count, scoring McGinley-Smith.
  • A double by Dom Petkus in the second inning was a positive for New Hampton School.
  • H Meehan took the loss for New Hampton School. Meehan lasted three and a third innings, allowing nine hits and seven runs while striking out six and walking zero.
  • The Wildcats Varsity launched one home run on the day. Nowlan had a long ball in the fourth inning.
  • KUA tallied 12 hits. McGinley-Smith (3), Ray Thurston (2), and Mack (2) each collected multiple hits.  KUA didn't commit a single error in the field; AJ Noel and Mack made nice plays for outs in the middle infield.  KUA tore up the base paths, as three players stole at least two bases. McGinley-Smith led the way with three.
